FFB palette: Soft pink/ purple smoky eye

Time seems to just run away from me these days.  It might be because in exactly 1 month I will be 27 years old and that seems to be the age all the cool kids die at.  RIP Muffins.  Just kidding, I’m not a cool kid.  I’ve never been a cool kid.  In fact, I spent my entire schooling career on the social platform I refer to as “the bottom of the food chain”.  My little person thinks I’m cool as anyway, so there.

Since I significantly digressed in my introduction (I meant to talk about how I just lost track of time last week and didn’t have a chance to post), I’ll just get right to the point.  Also, before anyone says it, I desperately need an appointment for an eyebrow wax.  I know it, you know it, let's just move on with our lives.

As promised, this is the step-by-step tutorial for my favourite look from the Makeup Revolution “Fortune Favours the Brave” palette.  If you want some more information on this palette, you can check it out in my previous post (http://justcallmemuffins.blogspot.co.za/2017/06/fortune-favours-brave-palette-review.html).

This look is a very soft, smoky eye look with a flash of pale pink light on the eye lid.  I am desperately in love with the shade “Pink Diamond” from the palette.  It was glittery but that appeared to be just the top layer.  I still love it though, because it has an intense shimmer that can be further intensified by a spritz of Fix+ on your brush.

Step One:
I used the shade “Latte” as my transition shade.  It’s a soft, neutral brown that works perfectly with a warm or cool toned look.  I worked this right across my crease and below my lower lash line.

Step Two:
I intensified the crease with the shade “Caffeine Fix”, a deep chocolate brown.  I also blended this into my lower lash line, but only up to about half way to my pupil.

Step Three:
Drama Queen: how appropriate.  I used a smudging brush to work this around my outer V and slightly into my crease.  Then I used the same blending brush with the other shades on and blended it out.  I extended this colour out of my V to create a cat-eye look too.

Step Four:
I spritzed a flat eyeshadow brush with some Fix+ and packed “Pink Diamond” all over my lids.  Using the same blending brush once again when the colour had dried down, I blended out the edges into my crease and blended “Drama Queen” into it from my outer V.

Step Five:
Lastly, I dabbed “Ice Cloud” on to brighten up my inner corners.
Winged liner.  Check.
Lashes.  Check.
Magic.  Double check.

The Final Look

Thank you so much for coming back and for being so patient with me!

Wishing you all the love and light in the universe, until next time! ♡♡♡
